Where will you go if you have only 5 days and 4 nights for a short trip? Krabi was never in our to-go list earlier. However, after some considerations and internet surfing, we decided to go there to spend special moments together. Why? The journey from KLIA 2 to Krabi International Airport only took 1 hour and 20 minutes. It's not only sunshine and beach there. There're lots more activities that you can do there. It's definitely a place worth travelling.

Once we reached Krabi International Airport, we bought tickets for minivan and a local SIM card.
It's The driver dropped the passengers along the way and we passed by a lot of hotels and resorts, as well as restaurants and night market stalls. Finally, we reached Red Ginger Chic Resort. We're delighted to be welcomed by great staff and refreshing welcoming drinks.
We're grateful for the nice decorations and the delicious cake which we then enjoyed as our dessert after our dinner. We made an impromptu trip by foot to the nearby stalls and had our first try on Pad Thai, which was a common Thai dish based on rice noodles. Pad Thai here, Pad Thai there, Pad Thai everywhere =). There are so many stalls which were selling this Thai dish. We ate Pad Thai with Shrimp, Pad Thai vermicille with seafood and vege satay. Then we went to a convenience store to buy some breads. In short, all the places were within walking distance and we're glad that we chose the right place to stay.

Buffet breakfast was provided daily in the resort. It's a very cozy place to enjoy your meal. Staff provided very good service too.
This was my healthy salad set. We're happy to know that there're a good variety of food and beverages there, ranging from western to eastern food.
We walked for a distance and found out that there were so many agencies along the way which offered tour package from Ao Nang. You may take a van, speed boat, bus or ferry to lots of places. For example, Phi Phi Island, Phuket, Koh Samui, Hua Hin, Bangkok, Koh Lipeh, Langkawi, etc. I only name a few of the destinations that I have heard of. In fact, it's a long list there.
We decided to go on a road trip by motorbike. There're too many agents in Krabi. We walked, and walked and walked and looked for a good bargain. Finally we concluded that all offered almost the same price although they might be differ slightly. We're already sweating a lot and so we decided to just pick on any agent so that we could start our road trip early. Besides, this particular young lady was very helpful in providing us recommendations and maps to go about for our first day road trip there. She helped us to contact the motorbike rental company. While waiting for our motorbike, we walked to the beach nearby at Ao Nang.
Such a lovely morning in Ao Nang.
This is our good helper for our one-day road trip in Krabi.
The motorbike from Mr Sak Motorbike Rental was quite new and overall we think it's a good choice.
Unlike the big petrol stations in Malaysia or even the very small petrol stations that I've seen in small towns in New Zealand before this, this was the first time that I saw such a petrol station. I would rather call it a petrol machine as it's just located next to the small shop lots, almost the size of a vendor machine and served exactly like a vendor machine too. Happy Oil was the company which provided service for our first petrol pump in Krabi.
Hat Noppharat Thara - Mu Ko Phi Phi Nationarl Park was our first stop for our road trip in Krabi.
There's a beach with long white sandy stretch with nice spots of beautiful tall trees.
It's almost 10.30 am and the beach was not a crowded one.
It's a good place for relaxation without the hussle and bussle of large number of tourists.
Our next destination was Klong Muang Beach. It's 11.08 am when we reached there. It's located to the north of Ao Nang.
We saw the iconic long-tail boat, which was commonly used to take tourists from island to island.
It's a quick stop of less than 20 minutes on Klong Muang Beach and then we headed for the next destination.
Our next tourist attraction was Tha Pom Klong Song Nam("Two Water Canal"), which was 29.6 km away from Klong Muang Beach. It's a 33-minute journey.
We strolled along the walkway, amazed by the stunning natural view and emerald crystal clear water.
It's raining on our way to our next destination. We had to find a shelter for our lunch too.
It's already 2.46 pm when we had our simple lunch (as well as a shelter from rain) at 7-eleven. We ate Rice with Thai Basil Fish Tofu and Deep Fried Fish with Herb and Spicy Sauce with Rice. Of course we added another rice as the portion was small.
