Make Your Bed



I read a great book, entitled Make Your Bed: Little Things That Can Change Your Life...And Maybe The World by William H. McRaven. He shared the 10 principles that he learned during Navy SEAL training.

I've been doing this first task of the day right every day since years ago. I've never thought that this would be the title of a great book. This book opened my eyes to the basic SEAL training as well. I strongly recommend this book to others. Each chapter includes a short story which teaches us life lessons. 

Interestingly, the first principle is "if you want to change the world, start off by making your bed".

"If you make your bed every morning you will have accomplished the first task of the day. It will give you a small sense of pride and it will encourage you to do another task and another and another.
By the end of the day, that one task completed will have turned into many tasks completed. Making your bed will also reinforce the fact that little things in life matter."


How can we do the great things right if we can't even do the little things right?
Too often we measure success by the great things that we achieve. 
Remember that every little thing in life counts.
