haha, finally someone has heard of kicap, cos when i told others, no 1 believed me, haha... toothpaste? i oso duno, never use, all i noe is let the water flow on it oni, haha
don use ice directly on burn area, can induce frostbite and further injury as the superficial epidermis layer is already injured. our normal skin oso cant stand the direct ice contact very long, what's more the injured skin.
it is best put under flowing water until pain lessen.
in acute times, better don't put any oilment, cream or cloth on it as they can trap heat and cause further injury.
toothpaste can actually cause further injury as well, it may lessen the pain initially as the chemical numb the skin but from my reading, the chemicals can cause some burning effect to injured skin further, so better dont.
the pricipal management of first degree burn ie no blister formation one is to reduce the heat immediately to lessen the injury and dont do anything that may provoke infection.
n su xuan, u better put some sunscreen on ur forearm and avoid direct uv exposure, as the skin is injured n vulnerable to uv.
n the skin will heal naturally provided no infection.
